With Latin Uncovered you’ll use my unique StoryLearning® method to learn Latin naturally through story… not rules. It’s as fun as it is effective.
To start off this guide to the best websites to learn Latin, let's take a look at Latin learning videos you can find on YouTube.
1. Hi Paws
Hi Paws is a YouTube channel that is dedicated exclusively to Latin language learning.
This creator makes numerous unique music videos about different Latin concepts, such as verb and noun endings. The videos create catchy ways to remember learning Latin aspects that are often the most difficult to maintain.
Hi Paws’ videos help Latin learners to creatively and effectively memorize important Latin word endings that are often recommended to learn through rote memorization.
2. Latin Tutorial
The Latin Tutorial channel is very helpful to learn Latin grammar concepts. These videos explain certain Latin grammar concepts thoroughly while also concisely.
This channel boasts over 100 videos on Latin grammar as well as Roman culture.
The videos are visually simple using the written word in different colours to help demonstrate often difficult grammar concepts.
3. Magister Craft
Magister Craft is another great channel to learn about aspects of Roman culture and to learn Latin through more exposure.
Magister Craft’s videos are almost exclusively in Latin and you can use Latin or English subtitles while watching.
Many of the videos utilize the Roman world built by the creator in Minecraft to teach the audience about Roman architecture, mythology, Roman holidays, and Roman history.
Some of the playlists on the channel focus explicitly on specific stories, such as The Odyssey, 12 Labours of Hercules, and the Aeneid.
This is another great source to hear Latin to improve comprehension. And to learn Latin through story which is how the StoryLearning method works!
4. Scorpio Martianus
Scorpio Martianus (a.k.a Luke Ranieri, the Latin teacher in Latin Uncovered) has several different videos that a Latin learner may find helpful.
Many videos of his videos are designed to help Latin learners master Latin pronunciation.
These videos use some ancient texts as well as existing Latin books and resources, such as Lingua Latina Per Se Illustrata.
Additionally, this channel has videos where the creator has dubbed over the original language into Latin, such as Lord of the Rings, Batman, and Star Trek.
This channel also has many other miscellaneous videos in Latin as well as Ancient Greek and Ancient Egyptian. By the way, here's a post that will help you decide whether to learn Latin or Greek.
Latin Texts And Grammar
Let's continue our look at the best websites to learn Latin with some websites dedicated to both grammar and Latin reading material.

Beyond texts, there are also images of maps, grammar diagrams, and other illustrations, videos on various topics, and audio of several Latin texts read aloud.
Additionally, if you are interested in Ancient Greek, there are similar types of resources here for Ancient Greek learners as well.
6. The Latin Library

Some of these texts also have access to commentaries as well as English and other language versions of the texts.
This can help Latin learners when reading and translating Latin texts to see the nuances of the art of translation.
The Latin Library also has many different grammar handouts of various grammatical concepts. These are great resources for Latin learners to reference without having to handle a larger grammar text.
A final aspect of the Latin Library is the partial access to the Latin 101 and Latin 102 course content from George Mason University. It includes the grammar, vocabulary, and readings associated with the course.
Even if you're unable to enroll in a Latin course, these resources provided by The Latin Library make much fo the course freely available for Latin learners.
Latin Dictionaries
No list of websites to learn Latin would be complete without some links to the best online Latin dictionaries. Here are two for you to check out.
7. Whittaker’s Words Online
Although having undergone recent changes, a great online dictionary is Whittaker’s Words.
Currently, the new platform only allows you to search using Latin words and get English results.
It promises in the future to allow users to also search for Latin words using English.
Not only on this platform are you given the dictionary form of the word with its English definition, but Whittaker’s Words also shows you the morphological information about a word.
For example, if you put in puero, you would get the dictionary form, the definition, and the morphological information, namely that this is a dative singular masculine noun.
You can search these dictionaries at once either using the Latin or English forms. You'll then be provided with the Latin dictionary form of this word, the English definition, as well as numerous examples of the word being used in Latin texts.
